Reuben Chappell plaque
On the 21st July 2010, there was an unveiling by a grand-daughter of Reuben Chappell (Pierhead Painter) of a plaque at the cottage on Par Green where he lived, having moved from Goole for health reasons.

In 1970 the society erected another plaque
Plaque on site of Sloop Inn.
On this site stood the Sloop Inn. Nearby a a sloop founded c1777. This plaque commemorates the formation of the Old Cornwall Society 1920. Erected by Par OCS 1970.
The Sloop Inn was on Harbour Road. The only photograph in the Par OCS collection seems to have been taken c1904. The Inn is in the centre of the image.
